The early childhood consultants provide early childhood program support and leadership to school districts to improve equitable inclusive early childhood educational environments for young learners with disabilities in Wisconsin. The consultants provide universal, targeted, and intensive supports and professional development to Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and community partners through the implementation of evidence-based practices that lead to increased positive outcomes.
Early childhood consultants are available to promote a system of ongoing collaboration as part of the transition process between Birth to 3 programs and the LEAs. (Indicator 12)
In addition, early childhood consultants are able to provide training, data reviews and technical assistance on Indicator 7 (Child Outcomes) and Indicator 6 (Preschool Environments). Early childhood consultants are available to provide training on equitable inclusive practices including:
