As we began the 2023-24 school year, CESA #1 was excited to unveil our Portrait of a Learner. We worked with internal and external stakeholders to define the essential skills learners of all ages need in order to be successful in life. These essential skills are: agility, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, empathy, and self-management. Maintaining a focus on these skills in our work across the region will allow learners (students, educators, leaders, parents, community members) to be prepared for their future.
Our shared purpose is to “Lead and support the development of learners who possess the essential skills necessary to be successful now and in the future.” With this purpose in mind we committed to the following three-year strategic priorities:
- Design and Curate High Quality Services
- Promote and Develop the Profession
- Increase Stakeholder Engagement
These strategies have been designed to support the educational environments in which we live and work, so that we are continually improving the outcomes of those we serve. Providing support systems across the region and beyond through our networks, programs, and services, we strive to rekindle a passion for education, and we can not do this without our partners.
My goal remains that all stakeholders feel connected to CESA #1 and that they view us as their regional partner. Working together, we can make a positive impact in Wisconsin and ensure that public education continues to thrive!
In partnership,
Sue Doyle
