Overview
The English Learner (EL) Network provides teachers, coordinators, and other staff members with an opportunity to share ideas and concerns, and to develop new approaches and solutions for working with English Learners. Each meeting will have a specific professional development focus, and participants are encouraged to contribute current information, challenges, and solutions to group discussions. Instructional strategies, resources, and updates from DPI and WIDA will be shared.
The EL Network will include a book study, Building Literacy with Multilingual Learners: Insights from Linguistics, by Kristin Lems, Tenena M. Soro, Gareth Charles
Consortium members and non-members are welcome.
Cost:
CESA #1 Title III Participating Consortium Members: No charge
Non-Consortium Members: $400 per person
