ACCESS for ELLs Test and WIDA Screener Administrator Training
ACCESS for ELLs™ (Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Learners) is required annually to determine English proficiency levels and progress of ELs in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Test administrator certification is required annually before administering ACCESS or the WIDA Screeners. ACCESS training is offered once per year at our office or it can be delivered at a school or district office.
Network
The English Learner (EL) Network provides teachers, coordinators, and other staff members working with English Learners an opportunity to share ideas and concerns and to develop new approaches and solutions for working with ELs. The network also shares updates from DPI, WIDA, and ESSA with members. Each of the meetings will have a specific focus, and participants are invited to share resources. The group has an opportunity to engage in a book study each year.
