Overview
The Social Studies Network provides K-12 teachers, coordinators, and other staff members with an opportunity to share ideas and concerns, and to develop new approaches and solutions to teaching Social Studies.
Each meeting will have a specific professional development focus, and participants are encouraged to contribute current information, challenges, and solutions to group discussions.
Instructional strategies, resources, and updates from DPI will be shared.
This network will include a book study: Inquiry Design Model: Building Inquiries in Social Studies by Kathy Sawn, John Lee and S.G. Grant.
Books will be provided to registrants at the first meeting and are included in the cost of the network; one book per person.
