Overview
The CESA #1 School Resource Officer Network (SRO) will focus on developing successful relationships with diverse students, providing valuable resources to school staff, and developing strategies to resolve problems affecting youth and protect all students.
This network meets four times throughout the school year to learn together, receive updates, study case examples, network to share successes and discuss challenges, and model and share district programs. Guest speakers, service providers and research will ground the new learning. Lunch will be provided and SRO’s will have ample time for networking.
Participants will explore relevant public safety topics, such as:
- Classroom connections
- Comprehensive school safety
- Substance abuse
- De-escalation
- Human trafficking
- Mental health
- Digital safety
